Mechanical Seals
Seals may be used in a conventional pump stuffing box to seal any number of liquids at various speeds, pressures and temperatures. The seal has found acceptance in many pump applications where packed stuffing boxes have proved inadequate in service life or leakage. Seals last longer and hold out more liquids than the traditional packed stuffing boxes. Seals come in many different sizes and materials. Some of the different materials range from Buna, Neoprene, Carbon, Silicon Carbide, Stainless Steel and Brass to name a few. With all the options there is going to be one for every application.
